Re-Print General Journal

Quite annoyed by the fact there isn't a single thread out there showing how a user can re-print a journal. Now that I figured it out, no thanks to any of the support here or listed across the web, I want to share with others who may not have 1/2 an hr to search the system and test different functions.

Instructions - Navision Dynamics 2016

Starting on the home tab, use search function and type in GL register, select General Ledger/Reports/ Entries and open.

In the pop up screen, set the first filter to search by the Creation Date

Set the next filter to "From Entry No.' open the menu via the arrow on the filter, select 'Advanced', once opened re-sort by current date.

Go down the list and find the transaction, select the first entry no. in the journal. For e.g. the credit is listed as 1222466 and the debit is listed as 1222465. You must enter the lower number (1222465) to enable the search to work correctly.

    Hi, just adding some info.

In BC you can use the following new feature.

New Posted General Journal page in Dynamics 365 Business Central 2020 Release Wave 2

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

    RE: Re-Print General Journal

    Thanks for posting this!

I know that some updates were done recently, so here is the updated process:

Use the search function and type in "G/L Register" (click the option under "Reports and Analysis" in your search results), this will open a "G/L Register" pop-up that you can use to search for the general journal you are searching for.

Use the filters to find the journal you are looking for.

You can use the filters to search for the GL register number (if you have it), or the posting date of the general ledger.

There are other options in the filters that you can use to help you find the journal that you are looking for--for example, you can search by User ID, Account no., Account name, Journal batch name or template, Source code, etc. There are a lot of filter options.
