Search not searching all entities consistently

My first time post here.

I am getting some very strange behaviour with the consolidated search.  Sometime when I search for a term, it only searches 5 fields, and sometimes it searches 8 (which is what I want).  As far as I know I have not changed any settings, and it certainly did not used to do this.  Any clues?

Not sure what other information anyone might need to help me solve this, but please ask.

Many thanks

    Hi partner,

Could  you tell me where you use  the consolidated search, please give me some screenshots to make it easier for me to understand your problem.

Thanks for your response.  Hopefully the image shows the search box at the top of the screen (which is the same whichever entity I have selected).  You van see the pull-down list I get with this search.  In other searches this list also includes first and last names.  We do have names (reed) in the system, and I was expecting this search to find them all.

    Many thanks

To add to this story, now that I and my colleague have looked into this a little more.

If I use 'Daniel' as my search term, I find contacts, notes, opportunities, quotes, orders, invoices, accounts and marketing list items contain this term

If I use 'Stephen' I only get accounts, despite contacts showing up 'live' as I type in the search box.

My colleague, with the same Admin permissions as me, does not have the same issue - all results from all entities show up for all searches

I have tried the same search using a different browser (Chrome, I was originally using Edge) and on a completely different PC on which I had never accessed Dynamics before, and I still get the same outcome.

We have tried to find any settings that may be different, but with no luck.

Has anyone seen this before?  Any ideas as to what we could try next?

    Many thanks

    Hi partner,

You need to use network development tools(F12) to check that your request and response are consistent.
