You need to use the configuration packages tools to export/import the data.

    I am trying to do:
Importing the Customer back up file (excel) from production environment into sandbox environment.
    I am doing:
I exported the Customer table (Table 18) from the production environment using a new configuration package and saved it as a backup. Similarly, I exported the Customer table from the sandbox environment (CONTOSO) using a new configuration package and saved it.
I then copied the customer data from the production environment Excel sheet into the sandbox environment Excel sheet and saved the changes. Next, I opened the configuration package in the sandbox environment and imported the updated data. However, upon applying the data (Apply Data), I encountered errors.
    Errors i am getting:
The field primary contact no. of table customer contains a value FALSE that cannot be found in the related table (Contact)
I am getting so many of the different errors of the fields.

Can someone please advice me what to do to resolve these errors and get the excel file data from production back into sandbox.

You need to fix all the errors in the data. If you don't need the contacts, you can clear out that field in your excel file and then import it again. If you need the contacts, the you'll have to import them as well using configuration packages.
