User access mode read only on 365 online

Hi experts, do you know if it's still possible to set a user as read only in dynamics 365 online 8.2.2 ?
In the previous version, it was possible using the option set 'Access Mode' on the user form but apparently this value does not exist anymore on 365.
Thanks you
David

    Hi,

Are you online? Then assign the user a team member access license. Else create a new security role with only read access.

    Hello Guillaume,

Thanks for your answer. Yes I'm online (V8.2.2) I forgot to add this info.

About the license I tried but it did not work. Maybe I did something wrong but apparently a license is just used for a legal point of view, I mean, use a Team Member license will not impact the security. Do not hesitate to tell me if I'm wrong..

About the Security Role, it will be really difficult to do this regarding our security pattern.

    Regards

    David

    Hi,

    Ok it won't 100% read-only but it will cover 90% of it : www.encorebusiness.com/.../team-members-vs-full-users-dynamics-365

For the rest(bulk aasign of security roles) I would recommand you to take a look in the "user role updater" functionality of XRMToolbox

    Hello Guido,

Are you on premise ? This value does not appear online. I can only see:

    - Read-Write

    - Administrative

    - Non-Interactive.

Other values are hiden.  I just tried to do an update with a workflow but it failed with message "Read-Only mode is not supported in this version of Microsoft Dynamics 365".

I think it is just not possible.

    Thanks for your answer

    David
