Granting Users Access To Report Designer

Hello all,

    I just took over a site that just transitioned over to Dynamics GP.  I have had no training on this product but have been trying my best to support users.  All has been good until today when I had to create a new user.  I was able to create a user and they were able to login with no issue.  However, when they try to access Report Designer they receive an error "Can't connect to the Management Reporter Server."  When I try with another user it works fine.  Where can I give this new user access to report Designer?  I'm new to Dynamics GP so please be patient with me as I have no clue where to go.  Thanks for the help.

    Hi

    I can't give you the full specifics because I leave the technical side to others.  However, what I do know is that it is the Windows user who needs access to Management Reporter and you need to grant the user access through the Management Reporter Server.

    Someone else I am sure will be able to give you better details, but I thought a quick response with a hint might be somewhat useful.

    Thanks for the tip.  I'll look around and see if I can track it down.  I added the AD user to the same security group but that didn't seem to help with the reporter aspect.
