Hi,

How do I update our sales price in BC ?
(The price is depending on the customer price group and the amount of the items)

Is it correct that I need to active "Feature update: New sales price experience" ?
Will it change anything to our current pricing in BC ?

Can I activate the feature in a "Sandbox company" and try changing the prices here - witout making any changes in our "real" company ?

Can you please share your experince - how to do this the best way ;)

Thanks

Best regards
Katja

    Hi,

Yes, you have to enable feature for new pricing experience.

Then you need to search for Sales Price List. Create a new price list and enter the new sales prices against customer group and items as required.
Verify and Activate the price list. You are ready to go.

This setting affects all companies in the current environment and cannot be reversed. Master data will be automatically migrated to the new feature. so there's no need to worry about that.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

Sales Price feature will be automatically enabled from 28 version .

System auto converts Sales Price Table into Price List Header and Line . As shown by ZHU in above post you will get the message it will update .

    Price List Header
You will get Customer Price Group  , Start dAte ,End Date and other fields in header which is common . Your concern was Customer Price Group wise data. System will create such Price list accordingly based on price group , start ,end date and other filters as shown in below image . Header is group of those feilds .

    Price List Line

It has information of product , qty , unit price , discount % supporting header feilds . Under Header lets say Customer Posting Group 'A' has 10 products falling into jan to july period will come under this set .

The only thing you have to take care if any custom fields are present in Sales Price you need to ensure it gets updated in Price Lines .

System take cares of System Feilds in transition

    Hello Katja,

Yes, the New Sales Price Experience is the recommended and correct way to manage prices by Customer Price Group and quantity, and enabling it mainly changes how you maintain prices, not how they calculate; Microsoft automatically migrates your existing prices and keeps the same pricing results. You can safely enable the feature only in a Sandbox environment to test and adjust prices without impacting Production, since feature management is per environment. Best approach is to turn it on in Sandbox, validate real-life scenarios (price groups, quantity breaks, sales orders), let users test, and only then enable it in Production once you’re confident.

    Hi,

You do not need to enable the New sales price experience just to update sales prices, but it is the recommended and supported way going forward.
    > Yes, you can enable the feature in a Sandbox environment only.
    > Changes made in Sandbox do not affect Production.
    > This is the recommended way to test price maintenance and behavior before enabling it in Production.

    Hi,

Yes, you should enable the New Sales Pricing Experience to manage prices by customer price group + quantity.
Enabling it automatically converts your existing prices into the new price list format without changing the actual pricing.
You should always activate it first in a Sandbox, because once enabled, it cannot be turned off and applies environment‑wide.
Approach can be: copy production → sandbox → enable feature → review converted price lists → test → update prices → then activate in production.

    Dear All,

Thank you for your quick support and answers to my question.

I have now started the feature and is right now trying different ways to update the prices.

Do you know whether it is possible to update prices in different "product category codes" one by one ?
(Because we have many items and it is quite complex, to update all the prices at the same time. It would be easiere to take one product category code at a time)

Thanks again and enjoy the evening.

    Best regards
    Katja
