E-mail router configuration manager fails to open

Hi,

I´m having problems with starting the E-mail Router Configuration Manager. I also have a new user that does not have any mail going out via the e-mail router. The user is, as far as i can see, configured exactly like the other users in his department. I’m assuming the problems have something to do with the other?

I have tried restarting the service, it solves neither problem.

If there is anyone that can point me in the right direction i would much appreciate it.

Error message from CRM 2011 server

The E-mail Router Configuration Manager was unable to read configuration information. Make sure no files in the current directory are locked, missing, or inaccessible. To try again restart the E-mail Router Configuration Manager.

Hi,

Is the email address approved by system admin? The users email address should be approved for sending the emails.

where should that be approved? are we talking crm here or exchange?

yes. i'm talking about crm. Open a queue record from which the email is to be sent and click Approve Email button on top. For doing this you should be system admin.

You will need to select email router option for E-mail access Configuration and check the all credential checkbox and provide credentials.

Once this is done, open the email router configuration manager, and click load data to load the queue that has been approved. The queue will appear in grid. Check for its status to be enabled.

ok the setting of allow credentials for the e-mail router is gray everywhere i look.

and even if i found it i would not be able to open The E-mail Router Configuration Manager because of the following.

This is actually a bigger issue. since if i can get into the configuration manager i can see and test all the configured users. im not even sure this user is recognised by the e-mail router since i cant open it.

Hi Hilmar,

Please let me know your update rollup.

Also you can try the following steps

1.Revert back to the Roll Up 6 core installation.

2.Delete the root directory. (if not it may give you a warning when you are doing a re-install on the same root directory)

3.Do repair on the base RU 6 from the same user admin you did the install.

4.Cross check the *.xml files (listed above) permissions for the execution account.

After this, re- apply the RU 12 and do the machine restart.
