Word template using the wrong printer

I just had a client show me an annoying action. Let's say your windows default printer is Printer A. You go into GP and print an invoice using a word template and select the printer to be Printer B. The invoice will print to Printer A no matter which printer you select. If you choose not to use the word template(Standard) it will go to the chosen printer. Is there any way to correct this?

    I just tried it using GP 2018 R2 and I have the same problem.

    I just tried in GP2018 with PO and it did it to me too, printed to my default. Even than I changed the printer in Print Setup, it still printed to my default, no matter where I sent it.

    But if I print to screen (create in Word) first, and print from there, it sends it to the right printer. Of course, it takes a bit longer to print this way.

    Yes, I have that this is a product suggestion from years ago. Who knows if it will ever be addressed.
