Parent Child Relationship Importing

I am importing some accounts from our Laboratory Information System that does not exist in MSCRM 2016 today, the problem is that they have parent child relationships and I know that the account has to already exist before it can be assigned as a parent account. What is the best way to import these accounts? Can I import all the accounts first then comeback and import the parent accounts?

    You can do this in two ways:

    First Option:

    Import Accounts

    Import Parent Accounts

    Create Association

    Second Option:

    Import Parent Accounts

    Import Accounts with Association

    I am not sure what you are using to Import (whether csv files, excel, or integration tool), but if you are able to do this with integration tool (such as SSIS Connector for Microsoft Dynamics CRM by Kingswaysoft), it would probably be the most flexible.

    If not, you can manage with other import options.

    it will overwrite if you are keeping same guid across.

    But what if I am using the import tool, is the tool using the GUID even though I am using the actual account name? I dont want any duplicates

    Which import tool are you talking about? The out of the box one (Import Wizard)?
