Creating Custom entity

(0) ShareShare

Hi all,

I'm very new to Dynamics crm and try to learn it. I have created a custom entity as follows.

1. create a role and added me to the role

2. create  a solution

3. in the solution I have created a new entity  called Member contact, I have selected the Areas to display Service

4. then assign the role with required permission level

5. then Publish all Customization

But when I go to services I can't see the entity just created. Can someone please tell me what was the issue.

Thanks.

Try refresh your browser window (by using CTRL + F5). The Site Map doesn't automatically refresh after a publish.

    Hi,

If you are system admin you don't necesserly need to create a new role for this entity.

You can try to hard refresh your browser or simply use another one(which won't have any cached data)

Make sure your user has a role with at least read permissions to that entity.

You may try clearing browser cache if that is not refreshing.

You can also look at XrmToolbox to assist. But should not be necessary unless creating custom menu option.

    Good Luck!

    Hi Dineth,

please check if the new entity appears under "Extension" section, in the far-right of dropdown menu (maybe you need to click the arrow to scoll pane to right).

    Please let us know.

Hi, You have to assign 'Create/Read' etc rights (as per your requirement) to the newly created entity for the particular Security Role. Navigate to 'Custom Entity' and find your entity there.
