Saving information to Grid Lines

Hi,

I am hoping that someone could throw some light on saving information on girds for me.  I am doing a customization on the Shippers screen where on using a particular order type. I want each line item to default to a particular warehouse bin location.   The bin location will be based upon the order type being used.

I am using the Call SetObjectValue ("cWshLoc_1", "W01") code, so while entering the inventory item on the line, the warehouse defaults to W01.  However, when I save the records the field changes to the defaulted bin location that is set up against the inventory item.

I am looking for a way for the information to be saved with the bin warehouse specified.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Regards

The field is actually "cWhseLoc_1", assuming yours is a typo....

Your issue may be related to the fact that the WhseLoc field on the Line Items tab is not actually part of the SOShipLine table, but it is really a visualization of what is contained in the SOShipLot table, as seen in the Bin/Lot/Ser button's grid.  You probably need to update the cWhseLoc_8 field, which is in that screen somehow.  Might be as simple as doing a CallChks function on the cWhseLoc_1 field to populate the Bin/Lot/Ser screen after you update it.

Yes it was a typo.  I worked with a Programmer so we were able to work through the problem.

Thanks for pointing in the right direction.
