Word Templates and Word Macros

We are are using GP 2010 R2. I am starting to create and implement Word Templates for my users.

I have a VBA macro that will split a Word document into individual 1 page PDF files.

I would like to use this code within a Word Template. When the template is used to print/(save?) a document, I want the Macro to execute.

Is there any way to use the VBA from within a GP Word Template?

Will the GP Word Templates accept .docm extensions or ...?

ideas, suggestions?
