    Creating notifications on any page
You can create and deliver notifications for various actions and events in Dynamics 365 CRM using ISV solutions like the Alerts4Dynamics app by Inogic. It is a powerful tool for creating, scheduling, and managing alerts and notifications for different entities in Dynamics 365 CRM. Here's how it can help you:

Here are Key Benefits of using Alerts4Dynamics App:

    1. Real-Time Notifications: Alerts4Dynamics allows you to set up real-time notifications for any Dynamics CRM event. For instance, you can get a notification when a new record is created, ensuring timely updates and responses.

    2. Improved Communication and Collaboration: By notifying your target audience right within the CRM, Alerts4Dynamics improves communication between users, ensuring everyone is aware of important events and updates.

    3. Customizable Notifications: You can create engaging and relevant notifications tailored to the specific needs of your organization. This includes text formatting, adding links, and using images to make alerts more descriptive and interactive.

    4. Automation: Alerts4Dynamics supports creating event-based alerts using workflows. For example, if you want a notification when an opportunity is won, you can set up a workflow that triggers a notification automatically when the status changes to 'won'. This helps in boosting productivity and ensuring timely alerts without manual intervention.

    5. Multiple Alert Types and Modes: The app allows you to create four types of alerts: Announcement, Rule-based, Record-based, and Event-based. You can also send alerts in four different modes: Email notifications, Pop-ups, Form notifications, and user preference, providing flexibility in how notifications are delivered and received.

    6. Multi-Language Support: Enhance user experience by sending alert messages in multiple languages, catering to the language preferences of your team members.

    Thanks for your response.

Somehow it looks a lot like signalR's approach ... but it's still going to require a means to display the message, which may mean a need to inject javascript into the master page

And just as a workaround, i have seen poeple setting up polling situations where they poll for the data once in a page and then handle it that way. Maybe a workaround since that platform does not provide a streaming API..

Search for CometD and the its use for displaying notifications.

I have little background in MSCRM, but have done it in other softwares using their Streaming API many times. The Polling piece is done in something called CometD and it works like a charm. CometD is an open source frmwrk to consume these notifications.

Try it and let us know!

Yes this would be very nice functionality.

To be able to have a pop-up notification or toast, based on an action of any sort. And have this notification visible as the top most window in a noticeable but obscure location. As well as easily seeing a history of notifications. And to be able to subscribe/unsubscribe from any notification that is made available, such as Lead reassignment.

    Maybe in CRM 2015?

Anyway, just bumping this up for attention in case any one has ideas on how to accomplish this.
