Hi all,

A user suddenly started to get an error of RetrieveUserContext: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'guid') when accessing Dynamics 365.
No permissions have been changed. The user commonly uses Chrome. He tried incognito mode and tried deleting the cache and cookies. Nothing worked. He then tried to use Edge and it worked, but after a couple of days it started to receive the same error again.

Here is a screenshot of the error:

Any idea of why this is happening and how to fix it?

Thank you

    Hi,

We have also encountered your similar problem during testing, which generally occurs in environments with poor network quality (e.g., when the test environment is located in NA and the local environment is located in SG, and when the local environment accesses the test environment). We will try to improve the network quality as much as possible.

In addition, during our search for information, we searched the PowerAutomate forums and found an issue similar to yours, you can check the issue to find a solution.

    Hi,

We're experiencing the same issue with a newly launched model-driven app. We've tried checking the security role permissions as per the linked post but users are still intermittently reporting the issue. They navigate to the app and seemingly randomly get this error message, a few hours/day(s) later it works just fine. This shouldn't be a network issue as we're all located in the same area geographically.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks

Happening sporadically to us too. Have raised a ticket with Microsoft who said to clear cache/cookies, which is inconsistently effective and not a long term solution. In some cases, a different browser altogether does not help.
