Hi,

Does anyone how to identify that web resource whether html, js or image related to which entity or using on which entity.

Because i get one instance to work on and i found that there are many web resources and i simply need to know which web resource is using where means on which entity.

So is there any way to identify that thing. Also the name of the web resources are not familiar by which i can identify on which entity they are using.

I will appreciate your reply.

Regards

try to go to settings > customize the system

expand an entity and sort by components. if the entity is using a web resource it should show there

    Hi Bruno,

I know about thing but its very time consuming.

I have around 60 entities and 400 web resources.

Isn't there any thing that from web resource itself i can identify on which entity its using ?

Another way is exporting the "default" solution. It contains all of the customisations. Then unzip it and search for web resource. Still a bit of work.

    Hello Deepak,

You can also use use REST services for retrieving web resources associated with an entiy.

The following link might be of use to you:-

    Hi Deepak,

You can check the Dependencies from Web Resource also, this is the only way which will give the list of places that Web Resource is being referenced.

    Hope that helps

    Thanks

Thanks both Bruno and Shraddha for your reply.

Till now what i get there is no such quick way to achieve this. I need to put some time on this and Shraddha the link you gives is for CRM 2011 i need this for 2013 and 2015 and i review the custom script on this there is some unsupported things like "formxml.getElementsByTagName("formLibraries")0].childNodes[i].getAttribute("name")"

which i think i need to correct first.

Thanks again i will wait for more replies and after that i will try both of your solutions.

    Thanks Mithilesh,

yaap i think that is a easiest way OOB. But its still time consuming to check for 400 web resources. I think we can devote some time to build some easy tool for this.
