Fieldone - Create generic Price List for all items

We are currently evaluating/testing Fieldone. Our company is in the HVAC business. When completing a service call, a technician may use parts to complete the repair. Our inventory contains many thousands of different items. Typically, we have agreements with our customers that all items we used are marked up at a fixed percentage or at a percentage that will change based on the cost (ex: items from 0$ to 100$ would be marked up at 150% from 101$ to 200$ at 125%, etc.)

When looking at how CRM and Fieldone handles Price Lists it appears that we need to assign in each Price List all the items we can sell or use individually. It doesn’t look like there is a way to setup a generic Material pricing matrix that would apply for all items used on a work order.

Is there such feature in Fieldone/CRM or is there a workaround?

Thanks

Price lists are made up of two entities. Pricelist and pricelistitem. FieldOne will be looking for price list items that match the products. So I think you will need price list items for all products to make this process work.

You could try to create a workflow that always adds a product to pricelist items for a default price list when the product is created. That might reduce you admin effort.

Hi Neil, thanks for the answer. I agree this would reduce admin effort but still I would like to know how HVAC companies using Fieldone handles this. There must be a better way. This is a standard feature in all systems I've seen so far. Fieldone pretends they are a fit for HVAC industry so I would expect they have a better way to manage this.

We have approximately 300 price list setup (agreements with different customers) with an inventory of around  25,000 items. The way the system works out of the box we would have to maintain a table of 7,500,000 entries (25,000 X 300). This seems a bit overkill and not effecient...

    Thanks
