I have created my users in AD, assigned them to the CRM instance(s) they belong to, now some interesting behavior:
- with a password expiration set in AD and a 14 day notification before it is set to expire; user logs in, gets the prompt to change the password.
- user logs in to CRM with user name and password (example user: JSmith. Example Password: N3sP@sSW0rd)
- CRM Rejects the login attempt and continues to pop up the login credentials box
After adding the CRM's web server to the Local intranet security zone via group policy, the following:
- user logs on to windows as normal
- opens internet explorer 8 and clicks on the CRM link on their start page
- is automatically logged in no prompt for authentication
Desired Behavior:
- user logs in to windows (regardless of how soon the password will expire)
- user launched IE 8
- user clicks the CRM Link and is prompted to authenticate
- user enters details and hits OK
- login successful (regardless of how recently or by what method the password was changed)
What is causing the first two set of conditions to be true? how to achieve the desired behavior?
