Job Planning Line - reserve items

Hi All,

Is it possible to reserve items in stock for job planning lines?  When I try to reserve it doesn't show any lines on reserve items screens however if I use the same item customer on a sales order I do get the reservation screen populated with items.  Production module is not used and items are assemble to stock.  On line level I set the Reserve drop down to "Always" to check

    The link is helpful but it does not seems to answer the basic question ..can you reserve items (any item in stock irrespective of production/assembly etc) similar to sales orders? Looks like job planning lines item reservation works differently.  Basic requirement is to reserve and item to a job so another job cannot consume it

    The flow chart on the link in the thread is worthwhile. The main answer is a yes but I would look at using planning worksheet to plug it altogether. Certainly on inventory it is set to reserve. Surface the extra fields on the item card to see what is set.
