how to lock my journal

Hi all,

Is there a way I can lock my journal batch without anyone changing the details? I often sometimes prepare my journal batch but I might not be ready to post yet, but I have seen in the past where people will change my journal details.

Is there a way I can secure it, and don't let others into it or when I am in the journal it doesn't allows others into the same batch.

Thank you!
I have the same question (0)

It requires some customization; you can create a boolean function in the batch to restrict user access, or you can also use Security Filters on that table to prevent users from accessing it.

You can configure the Security Filter to prevent other users from seeing your batch; however, I don't recommend it.

My suggestion is to create a batch with your name. That way, everyone will know that they are not supposed to touch your batch.

've checked all the available fields, and I don't see an option for it. However, with a little customization, you can achieve it.

    Thanks

It is indeed possible to do it using Security Filter, but this requires setting up a lot of permission sets.
I also recommend doing a simple customization, and I hope the information below can give you some tips.

    Thanks

    Hello,

Yes, I Do Agree with Teddy Herryanto that rather than Using Security Filter, you can create a New Journal batch for you and Do transactions in your batch so another person will not modify.

Or you need to do Customization for the same.

To lock your journal batch in Business Central, you can create a separate batch with your name, use Security Filters to limit access, or add a simple custom rule to block others from editing.
