Hi, you can limit cashier to with security options to not let them modify the price column

Just an easy lock on POS screen

enter security opctions by clicking ctrl+s and lock the column for price on POS

    Hi Junhyeon,

Can you please let me know where you are changing the item price to $0.00?

Are you referring to the Price on the General tab in Item properties?

If so, I haven' been able to find any option to prevent the user from enter a $0.00 price on this form:

If you want to see items with a price set to 0.00, you can run the Item Price List report, and filter on Price = 0:

If you are requiring the cashier to enter the price, but do not want them to enter a price of 0.00, I would set the price to something other than 0.00 and then mark the 'Must enter price at the POS' along with setting the price Lower band at .01:

    Thank you in advance.

Thank you again for your reply!

    Sorry for the mix-up.

I understood that you designate an item with $0.99 in RMS as lower bound $0.01 and say that an error can occur if the cashier changes this item to $0 in POS.

but if you change your item from $0.99 in RMS to $0 in RMS, i wonder if i can make warning message come out in POS.

I am looking for a function that allows POS to notice that RMS changed its price to $0.

    Thank you so much!!

    Hi Junhyeon,

How do you have this configured; and what steps are you taking when you are not getting a warning when changing the price to $0 at the POS?

Also, what do you mean by "It is sold equally at POS as $0"?

This is how the pricing is configured for the item being used for testing:

When added in POS it shows the price as $0.99.

    pastedimage1604701107719v2.png

Then the price is changed to 0; and when Enter or Tab is pressed the warning appears:

    Thank you in advance.

That's right. The second way is the one i wanted.

I set the lower bound value at 0.01, but it is sold equally at POS as $0.

I think, the lower bound function doesn't seem to work. I don't get errors like warning 903.

Is it an error that occurs when the cashier changes to $0?

Can i see the above error in POS when i change $0 in RMS, not a cashier?

Thank you very much for your kind reply.!!!

    Hi Junhyeon,

If you do not want to allow the item to be discounted at the POS, the 'Item is not discountable at the POS' option is available on the Options tab in Item Properties:

    pastedimage1604695381852v3.png

    pastedimage1604695470850v4.png

If you do not want to use this option, the Lower bound can be set on the Pricing tab in Item properties?

    pastedimage1604695080493v1.png

This will warn the cashier about changing the price to $0.00

Just a note that Mainstream support for Microsoft Dynamics RMS 2.0 ended on July 10, 2016; and extended support ends on 7/13/2021:

This is less than 9 months from now; and you can continue using RMS after this date but technical support will not be available.

I would recommend checking with your partner in regard to what they may recommend as a replacement system after the extended support end date.

    Thank you for reply.

    But, It doesn't work...

I want to find out when i sell at POS machine if the price in RMS is changed to $0 by mistake.

So if it is sold as $0, we need to prevent it or other methods

Not sure if this is what you are asking, but in RMS 2.0 Operations Manager > Database > Cashiers, you can change the Cashier Rights by unchecking boxes in the list at bottom left. These may control what you are looking to do:

    -Allowed to Post Empty Transactions

    -Allowed to Abort Sales

    -Allowed to Perform No Sales
