Two MFG warehouses, one storage warehouse

Hi all,
 
Scenario:
 
One item manufactured in two warehouses that needs to be stored in one storage warehouse.  Setting up item coverage for transfers for one MFG warehouse to the storage warehouse is easy, what happens when we need to make the same item in two different warehouses and want to send to the same storage warehouse?

    What is the business requirement or business rule? When do you need to make item in warehouse X and when in warehouse Y?

    Thank you for the response, Laurens, this is mostly due to production capacity, but can be made manually based on outside factors.

    My advice is to create either Approved Planned transfers or a Supply Forecast set of transfers from the facility that you want to run at full capacity (Primary). Now set the Item Coverage to the flex-capacity warehouse (Secondary). MPS will only create planned orders for the Scondary if they are needed. Please pay attention to Action (Postpone) messages, especially those related to the Primary (whether Approved planned or Supply forecasts). You will get these when demand is so low that it is below even the capacity/forecast of your primary manufacturing warehouse. Closest I can get you to a solution :).

    Thank you, Nigel, these folks less manual involvement unfortunately.  I will give it a go anyway to see if they will be willing to do something like this though.
