Warning for not enough of a component?

If I have a BOM attached to an item and I create a Production Order for that item: Is there a way to show a warning or notification that we do not have enough of a component?

    you could refer to the link below, specifically item availability on bom level section. this feature enable user to identify if components have sufficient qty for a production order, but it doesn't show warning automatically.

    Yun is correct, there is no out of the box functionality that does this.
