repeating D365 login screen problem on reporting (SQL Server Data Tools)

Hi all,

I'm facing an issue on reporting Sql Server Data Tools 2015 when connection Dynamics 365 Online instance.

When I prepare everything and click "preview" on report (Screen Shot 05), Dynamics 365 login screen appears (Screen Shot 06) and always repeating itself and never succeed.  (there is nothing wrong with credentials, I can login D365 online and also use Plugin Registration Tool with this credentials).

When I click cancel returns reporting screen with error message (Screen Shot 07).

I'm using on my local;

    Hi all,

    I found some tricks about TLS and (I guess) this solved my problem. However I think it's not persistent / enough solution, what do you think about that?

    Hi Emre GULCAN,

    Yes, you guessed it right and its the solution :)

    Its all because of the latest update in the Microsoft TSL(Transport Security Layer) Protocol in SDK assemblies.

    Microsoft allowed the TSL connection 1.0  and 1.1 for the browsers or client to connect the CRM org.

    Now Microsoft will support only TSL 1.2 or above going forward (Read here)

    So is the right fix here for there to be a new version of the Report Authoring Extensions compiled with the TLS1.2 included? When is that expected to be released?

    Hi Keith,

    Currently BIDS Extension doesn't support TLS1.2 and actually I couldn't find any information about when will support. Other important point BIDS Extension doesn't support Visual Studio 2017, you can find details on www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx

    I am facing same problem , didn't get resolved by changing fiddler from tls1.0 to tls1.2.

    Can anyone help ?
