hi, Business Central Cloud- Version: W1 26.5
users are getting  error message: Please wait while the connection is restored, it shouldn't take long.
 
is there an issue in MS?

    Hello,
     
    That message usually means temporary BC cloud latency/outage.
    Check Microsoft’s service status here:
     
     https://status.office365.com
    (look for Dynamics 365 Business Central)
     
    If you have admin access:
     https://admin.microsoft.com/#/servicehealth
     
    If something is listed there, it’s on Microsoft’s side.
