    Hi,

You can go to the Power Plafform Admin Center. Then open the details for the environment. You can then edit details and edit the security group, like the screenshot below.

    Hello GX-13030308-0,

The error message you're receiving, "You (someone@mycompany.com) need to be added to a security group to access this environment (microsoftsales55)," indicates that your Dynamics 365 environment is secured using Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) security groups. You need to be added to the appropriate security group to gain access.

Here's how to resolve this issue:
    1. Identify the Correct Security Group:
    • Contact Your Dynamics 365 Administrator: The most reliable way to identify the correct security group is to ask your Dynamics 365 administrator. They will know which Azure AD security group is associated with the "microsoftsales55" environment.
    • Check Azure AD (If You Have Access): If you have administrative access to Azure AD, you can try to find the security group yourself.
      • Go to the Azure portal (portal.azure.com).
      • Search for and select "Azure Active Directory."
      • Navigate to "Groups."
      • Look for a group that might be related to the "microsoftsales55" environment. The name might be similar, or there might be a description indicating its purpose.
    2. Add Yourself to the Security Group:
    • Administrator Action: Only an Azure AD administrator or someone with the appropriate permissions can add users to security groups.
    • Steps for the Administrator:
      • In the Azure portal, navigate to the security group identified in step 1.
      • Click on "Members."
      • Click "Add members."
      • Search for your user account (someone@mycompany.com).
      • Select your account and click "Select."
      • Save the changes.
    3. Wait for Synchronization:
    • Synchronization Time: After being added to the security group, it might take a few minutes for the changes to synchronize with Dynamics 365.
    • Clear Browser Cache: Clear your browser's cache and cookies and then try to access the Dynamics 365 environment again.
    4. Retest Access:
    • Try to access the "microsoftsales55" environment again. You should now be able to access it.

    Important Notes:
    • Azure AD Security Groups: Dynamics 365 environments can be configured to use Azure AD security groups to control access. This provides a centralized and secure way to manage user access.
    • Administrator Permissions: Only users with the necessary Azure AD administrator permissions can manage security groups.
    • Learn About Security Groups: The "Learn about security groups" link in the error message provides more information about how security groups work in Azure AD.

    In summary:
    1. Identify the correct security group that is linked to the microsoftsales55 environment.
    2. Have your Azure AD admin add you to that group.
    3. Wait for the changes to sync.
    4. Retest access.
