Hello everyone,

I am working on one of the features why client requested for.

They should be able to see and print the calender of other users in dyanmics crm.

As an extension of that I want to provide them a webpage to show this.

Does anyone aware of this stuff like can I make any sdk call to get this working?

Thanks

Drew

    There is a limit to how much you can customise the look of the calendars in CRM.

    You can set up views for groups of users (consider using Resource Groups or Team filters on views of Users).  If you're using Service Calendars this is a nice overview of service scheduling/calendars:

    There are add-on products that give a lot more UI freedom.  Try:

    My Calendar (free): www.mtccrm.com/Products

    Group Calendar (not free): www.mscrm-addons.com/.../Default.aspx

    I would say that if a user has privileges to see other users activities, it will be more or less easy to query the crm trough web services for that purposes, After only rendering as you like.

    Hi Pedro,

    I am looking for some logic how to retrieve specific users calender. Could that be possible to pull from sdk?

    Thanks,

    Drew

    Hi Drew,

    The retrieve in here is a generic one, below i will give you the example. The only thing is that you have to work the UI yourself.

    The record is Appointment, so, if you query the CRM by OWNER ID, you will have the specific Appointment for that user.

    After is only a question of doing yourself the custom page to show their calendar.

               QueryExpression qExpr = new QueryExpression(Appointment.EntityLogicalName);

               qExpr.ColumnSet = new ColumnSet(new string[] { "subject" });

               qExpr.Criteria = new FilterExpression(LogicalOperator.And);

               qExpr.Criteria.AddCondition("ownerid", ConditionOperator.Equal, user1Guid);

               EntityCollection col = service.RetrieveMultiple(qExpr);

    I thought there would something similar like exapndcalenderrequest . Thanks for directions, I will work on it :) I need to pull the serviceActivities as well related to a facility and user. However the directions you gave are sufficient enough to pull the info. Thank you!
