Modifying GP form in Dex

Hello.  I am trying to edit a GP form using Dex, but the control buttons aren't showing up.  The ribbon buttons (Transfer, Cancel), the lookup controls for each of the fields, and the "Redisplay" button just above the table grid on the right are all inactive. ... The place holders are there, but they have no properties.  This is happening on all 3 forms that are located in the .dic file I moved from Dynamics to Dex.  ... Is there something obvious that I am missing?

Also, I do see the "string missing" issues, which are due to "[Not Found]" tables. ... That's the next issue I'm looking into.

Yes, you are missing the fact that the dictionary you opened up in dexterity environment is a dictionary create from extract. [Not Found] means code is present on those events.  You can able to see all the missing resources by merging your this dictionary with Dynamics.dic, but you can not have the code.

As I read you other post what I know and understand is that you have some custom forms deployed in your GP which was created by someone else and you now no  more have the source code of this custom. Now you want to add some functionality in your current functionality. So you have created VB form and now trying to run the code behind some buttons from your old dic from your VB form?

You can do the same thing by using Dexterity because VBA can't help you more.

That did it.  Thanx!  Now hopefully I can forget VBA and get Dex to do what I want.
