i created a analysis view.
  • column is my cost center
  • Rows is my G/L account
I realize when i add up all the cost center amount, it may not same with the total amount (1st column) because there is some transactions has "empty" cost center assigned.
in analysis view, add i have column called "empty cost center" to accumulate those transactions has not allocated to any cost center (or dimension)

    Why not try the dimension correction once you have upgraded to v18: simplanova.com/.../

    It can update analysis views too.

    do you mean i can update the dimension value from posted transactions?  ideally, the posted transactions with empty dimension should be filled up by some cost center ?

    Sam,

    Yes, v18 added new functionality that allows for General Journal entries to be dimensionally corrected.
