Using Option Data Type in AL

Hi Developers,

Finally I am leaving C/AL and joining AL full force. May you help me out a little. I need to add more options to the option string of an Standard option field in the Item Journal Line Table. I see there have been issues on this, has there been solutions or workarounds as well for AL.

    This is not possiboe by design. Option fields are not extendible. Starting from D365BC version 16 all option fields are replaced with Enums and they will be extendible by creating an enumextension object.

    The solution will be to move out from using option field and replace them with ENUM object instead.

    This is a mid, long term solution for Microsoft.

    Checking 15.x version still you have option used

    Up to now, then, there are no easy solution. If this is vital, you could create a new field and refer to that one instead. I fully understand that there might be a lot of refactoring around.
