    Hello,

    I'm afraid there is no good no-code solution. You will have to use it to implement this scenario.

    Hi, you might be able to get this done using Workflows and Team Ownership.

    Since I don't know your business unit structure it might be a little hard, but it would you to set the ownership of the records to the Business Unit Teams, and set the security roles to see the records based on the ownership of the records.

    That would basically set the ownership of the records to a particular Business Unit, and you can designate what access the users of the Business Units and their branches have.

    This is the basic logic we used for some of our implementations.

    If that doesn't work, you can always use Plugins for a similar implementation, and try using Teams or Access Teams to set who will have access to the data.

    Hope this helps.

    I can think of below no-code solution for your requirement ; let me know if this is helpful.

    1.Create a Team(A) with a role which has read access on the account & business unit should be your A business unit.

    2. All users in Business unit A should have a role which has read permission on account set to "Business unit" level.

    3.All other users should have a role which has read permission on account set to "organization" level.

    4. Create Workflow which will run on Create of Account, Assign of Account and Update of Account type field with below condition :

    if ( account type = Internal)

     then assign to Team A

    else if (External)

     assign to "Team X"

    Note : Team X can be any other team in the organization which is not associated with Business unit A.
