Setting up dynamics CRM 2011 in Windows Server 2012 Standard Terminal Server with a 2008 R2 CRM server

Hello,

I have been working on an issue for a customer of ours and i'm running into a brick wall it seems at this point. Our customer has a Windows Server 2008 R2 CRM server that they use only for their CRM and we also have a Windows Server 2012 Standard Terminal Server. What we're trying to do is setup the CRM outlook client in the Windows Server 2012 but am unable to, i'm told that CRM is not compatible with that OS. What i'm wondering is if dynamics is backwards compatible with these servers, running on a 2008 R2 but applied on a 2012 server. Please let me know how i can move forward with this item, maybe some steps to get it setup properly, or a hotfix, something like that?

Thanks very much,

    Hello,

Here is the KB for CRM Compatibility list :- support.microsoft.com/.../2669061

Please check if your requirements meet and then still if you are getting an error message then please post the error message here.

    Thanks,

    Rob Moses

i have checked the compatibility several times, and i am still getting the error that the OS is not compatible. Please keep in mind, the CRM server is 2008 R2 and the Windows Server 2012 is the Terminal Server that will actually house the new CRM client on various outlook profiles. Does the CRM Server need to be the same as the Terminal Server for it to be optimal?? Meaning does the CRM server need to be Server 2012 or better to match the Terminal Server?

Please let me know, this issue is starting to snowball and i really need it fixed but don't know what is wrong with it.
