recently the company I am working for got a new environment and no load posting methods are generated in the set up. We are using wms enabled warehouse, waves, loads, shipments and work. I came to this part of the project late and noticed waves, loads and shipments are being created for sales orders that have no stock on hand and none reserved. I believe that this is due to no load posting methods existing to validate the load before posting etc.
However a consultant is trying to say I am in correct but offering me no other reason why. I have always in other roles with warehouse management even as an operations manager seen these load posting methods should exist. To prove the point I took a sales order with 1 item that has no stock on hand, made sure it wasn’t reserved and released it to the warehouse. I got a wave (created) and a load and shipment with the item on the load line for 0 of the item.
so am I correct in my thoughts? As to me if they did exist no loads would be created like this.
