Hi all,

For my work I have create an app that can modify all fields of all table in the database.

My app work perfectly when I use the developer license, but when I try whith client license it fails saying that the user haven't the permission.

I don't want to modify prohibited table like "g/l registry", but the normal table (like vat entry).

The only way I know for function is to manually specify permissions directly in the object, but it's very uncomfortable.

I have tried with permissionset, but it fails, I don't know why.

I use BC 19.

Anyone can help me?

Thank in advance

Hello  - We currently do not have dedicated Dev support via the Dynamics 365 Business Central forums, but I wanted to provide you some additional resources to assist.  If you need assistance with debugging or coding I would recommend discussing this on one of our communities.

I will open this up to the community in case they have something to add.

Hi, First of all, what I want to say is that it is not recommended to directly modify the posted tables, which will destroy the system data consistency.

If you really need it, you can refer to the 80 Codeunit below and add the Permission properties for your objects.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

    Hi Yun,

thankyou for the reply. I am sorry for my english, I intend that I don't want to modify the posted table, but  the tool we need is for modify other table, like VAT Entry.

Obviously this tool is not for all user, but only for an elite. We are thinking to give access to this app only to us, developer, but this is an internal discussion, I'm only a programmer ;)

If I understand, you are saying that I have to manually add the needed permission

It's not what I  hopr, but thank you

    With best regards
