Where to set so that delegation of User Approval will be automatic?

Hi Community,

I would like to find out, for user Approval delegation, I understand that the primary user approving officer will need to go in navision and click delegate before the substitute approving officer can approve on his/her behalf.

May I ask is there a way to do this delegation automatically, so that the primary approving officer don't have to do this and it will auto go to substitute approving officer?

Its not possible out of the box. If you need it to be automatic, why not make the substitute the actual approver? This way the approval request goes to them directly.

Hi Valentin Castravet

Thanks for your reply. The reason for not setting the substitute approving officer as primary because, this is not the primary officer. The primary officer sometimes has to go for meetings which will not be able to do approving, so someone needs to take care of stuffs.

I see over here that it is possible to do automatic delegation, so was wondering if this is a different NAV.
