MANAGE ROLES DYNAMICS 365 APPS

I am creating customised apps for different departments such as Sales, Marketing and system administrators. The next step is to assign the security roles to these apps such as we want Sales department can only access Sales App, Marketing department can only access Marketing App and System administrators should have full access.

The issue I am having is that I cannot see an option Manage Roles in the apps card as showing the picture below:Apps-managing-roles-screenshot.PNG

Can you navigate to Settings ->Applications -> My apps

Click on the 3 dots on your app (highlighted in the screenshot).

I cannot see any option when I click on 3 dots. Also In Navigation, there is no option showing for My Apps, It is only showing Interactive Service Hub,.

    Hi Eatsam,

As far I know, App role can manage from My App which is located in the Settings -> Application. As you said the My App button is missing, can  add the button or manually enter the link the address bar to get My App

    To get My App

    https://xxxxxx.crm11.dynamics.com/tools/AppModuleContainer/applandingtilepage.aspx

To add missing My App button in the site map ( Please make sure the above url returning expect result before adding button)

1.Go to customization-> Client Extensions and Edit site map

    2. Navigate to Settings and add Subarea from Component to Application under Setting

    3.  Configure SUB AREA with following values

    • URL - /tools/AppModuleContainer/applandingtilepage.aspx
    • Icon - /_imgs/AppModules_32x32.png
    • ID - nav_app_modules
