I'd like to develop a customization that will prevent a user from processing a check run until an approval is entered.  My thought was that there is a trigger on the batch table that I can manipulate, turn on/off that will prevent the batch from being selected on the check screen.  With that in mind:

1)  Before I do any further research, has anyone already developed such a customization?

2)  Is there a particular field I can use that can prevent the batch from being available on the check screen?
