Can anyone explain the use of scheduled execution with an example as its vague in MSDN documentation.

Hi Pranav Teja Kasinadhuuni,

Schedule execution form is used to define the time period in which the work orders should be scheduled.

For example I have 5 service levels for my work orders. Level 1 service level is critical maintenance work and level 5 low priority work.

So I would want that my work orders for service level 1 should be scheduled very precisely and hence I will use scheduled execution of "Date and time"

Similarly I really don't need much precision on work orders with service level 5 and I am fine as long as I know I need to do them in a month.

I don't need to exact date and time. (I don't care as they are level 5 and low priority work)

So for level 5 I will select scheduled execution "Month"

Hi Rahul,

Thank you for responding. I had reach out to community only because the documentation is not very clear. If you could explain scheduled execution with an example, it could be helpful. The problem is ->>when will system trigger scheduled execution. And how does the system read/understand the field scheduled execution as the values are date, date time, week, month and year. In short, scenarios in which scheduled execution will be used and how does it function.
