I have two errors setting up Gift Card

I'm stuck between two errors.  When setting up Gift Card as a non-merchandise product for a new Legal Entity we are creating, in the Retail and Commerce>Headquarters setup>Parameters>Commerce parameters, Posting Tab, Gift Card section I was getting an error that said the Gift Card item must be configured as "Blocked for POS".  During troubleshooting I did change the "Blocked at POS" setting in the released product "Gift Card" to YES and was able to set the parameters.  However, our other Legal Entities all have that item as not blocked.  I'm now trying to back out those changes to continue troubleshooting but find I am caught between two error messages - neither of which allow me to remove the block or Gift Card from Commerce Parameters.

When I go to the released product and try to toggle the "Blocked at POS" to NO, an error message comes up that states "The Item is configured as gift card item in Retail Parameters and cannot be unblocked" and the toggle automatically switches back to YES.  (FYI "Retail Parameters" is in the URL string - the UI name in D365 is Commerce Parameters).

When I try to back out the parameters in Commerce parameters an error message comes up that states "Gift card item must be configured as blocked for POS" and doesn't allow me to save a blank in the gift card product field.

Has anyone else fallen into this trap?

I'm running D365 F&O 10.0.44

It seems the GC item was configured through an entity import, which may explain why the validation error did not occur at that time. Now, as you attempt to change it in the UI, the validation error arises.

I suggest you try the following: import the GC item parameter with a blank value using the data entity 'RetailParameterEntity.' After that, modify the product by setting 'blocked at POS' to 'Yes,' and then manually add the GC item in the commerce parameter form in the UI.
