searching by procurement category in purchase order line

We are able to use procurement category in the Purchase order. While this works well, the search function does not seem to work on the PO line.

So, when I have 100 procurement categories, the filter function within Procurement category does not work.

Is there any suggestion?

thanks

    Hello,

I did a small test in my demo environment and I was able to filter by the procurement category.

    Hi JacksNZ

I personally think the searching could be better; it's not obvious how to use it.

You either have to type in the exact Category name, or use *

For example, if you have a Category called Chemicals, the following searches will work:

    Chemicals

    Chem*

    *emicals

    *emic*

but searching Chem alone will not work.

Perhaps, something missing in my setup. I get a magnifying glass and not a filter

Hi, it depends if you select the Procurement Category cell or the line cell:

    This will give you this:

    pastedimage1632140881418v2.png

This will give you the filter:

    Thanks Kaushik,

Unfortunately, this does not help me, I think.

If I already have a couple of lines in the purchase order and using the filter on the line header will filter PO lines  that are already there for the value I am searching for.

Instead, I am looking to add a new line, that contains a particular search string, then this filter is not going to work.

In your example, you have already two lines and the filter tries to filter amongst previously populated values and does not help select the procurement category from the list of 100+ that you may have
