Hi experts:

I 'm using reorder point for planning, and have a purchase order with 'expected receipt date' before the 'planning start date',
when I submit the planning worksheet , this supply appeared to be ignored by the system.

Not sure if this is stand functionality of Business Central? thanks.

Regards,
Lanqing.
I have the same question (0)

Design details say: All supply and demand before the starting date of the planning period will be considered a part of inventory or shipped.

but not sure why is not working for me.

    Hi,

Do you currently have stock keeping units setup?  There is field on here to Include Inventory which should be ticked.

I would usually switch this on and then change the Re-ordering Policy to what you need.

    Hope that helps,
    Shauna

    Hi, Shauna:

    Thanks for the reply.

I'm using reorder point instead of lot-for-lot, so the lot-for-lot options you mentioned are all grey out.

    Hi,

I tried an item with the same setup as you have.  Purchase order with expected receipt date as below.  Item currently has not inventory and no demand.

    Item has the following setup.

When I run the planning worksheet I do not get anything suggested using the following:

Have you got demand that will use the quantity on purchase order which is why it needs more?

Try using the item availability to check demand and supply.

    Hope that helps,
    Shauna
