Tie Breaking Logic For Production BOM Versions [NAV 2013 R2]

Hi,

Trust you are well.
We are trying to implement a codeunit that queries the active BOM version for a given Production BOM Header..
We have applied following filters on the bom versions table..

Production BOM No. = BOM Header PK
Status = Certified
Starting Date <= TODAY()

There is a possibility that we may end up with more than 1 records in this case.. so we were interested in knowing NAV's tie-breaking rule so that we can mimic the same in our code.

Thanks.
I have the same question (0)

    Not a programmer, so I can't tell you the code.  You should change your Starting Date logic to pick the most current date out of the matching BOM Versions it finds.  Then it will select the most current BOM Version out of the list of Certified BOMs.  Hope this helps.

    Version No is unique with Production BOMs . One Production BOm can have multiple Versions . You will get multiple records against one BOM No if there are multiple Versions .
    If you want version wise specific then please add in your script

    IF this has helped , please verify the answer
