Collections Management used to be part of Great Plains as an additional module but recently it went back to the original 3rd party creator, Professional Advantage, and is sold separately.

    Here's a link to their site:  www.profad.com/.../collections-management

    Hi Zulfi

Collections Management from PA is great if you need full functionality collections (e.g. writing full notes of contact made, automating notifications etc).  If you only have minor needs - e.g. you want to send a letter, you can do that via the Letter Writing Wizard in core GP.

This won't keep the notes and history about the collection activities.

One of the companies I worked for in the past did basic collections and we achieved this simply by using the notes against invoices to show what we had done.  We then had a report written to include those notes so everyone could see.

This does have the issue though that the notes can be deleted - it isn't a secure way of doing it.  But it certainly worked fine for us.

    Otherwise, highly recommend Collections Management.

    Cheers

    Heather
