    Hi, thanks for reply.

I have a specific issue. I read this article, but there is scenario when you have only one destination address and I need create a plan when I want to stop on customer addresses. So for example I have 2 sales orders with different addresses. So I want to create a route, when the driver stops on address one and address two. These orders will be in one load I guess. My question is, is it possible to create a route plan from sales orders or shippmets? Or I have to create this route manualy or create new engine like engine based on bing maps?

    Hi, thanks for reply.

I read this article, but there is a scenario when you have only one recipient, but I would like to have two or more recipients in one load. I find possible way how to do it. It is possible to add many shippments in to a load, but I can't print, export or show all addresses from the route. So I think it's wrong way. I afraid that my scenario is't supported.

    Thank you

Hi Miroslav, for Route, you can set up hub. but if you have multiple receipts and want system to calcuate the route smartly and then deliver them in one load. it's not supported.

If you think the issue is kind of resolved, could you help to mark the thread  as answered? thanks.

    Hi Miroslav Hynek,

If you want to configure a route with multiple stops for different customer then its possible in the system.

    Consider my example

I created two sales order for different customer in two different cities.

    pastedimage1592506179446v1.png

Now release both sales order and complete the picking work for both of them. Pack the shipments of both sales orders.

Add both shipments to same load as they have to be shipped together one one route. You can see both shipments are added to same load id LD-103864

    pastedimage1592506382366v2.png

Now you can see both shipments are part of same load.

    pastedimage1592506435882v3.png

Create a route plan. You can see in my route plan we will start from my warehouse in London to Wemyss town (Customer 1 delivery address) and then from Wemyss to Hamburg (Customer 2 delivery address)

    pastedimage1592506473805v4.png

Assign the route from rate route workbench

    Confirm outbound shipment.

You can see the route is created to take goods from London to Wemyss (Customer 1 delivery) and then from Wemyss to Hamburg in Germany. (Customer 2 delivery)

    pastedimage1592506639950v5.png

The details of the route can be seen on the route plan document generated by me. SO here in one route we are delivering to two customers in sequence.

Hello Sagar, thank you for reply, your description is perfect!

I did very similar setup, but did you create route manualy? Because we have a lot of orders and create new route for every load is very inefficient. Do you know how to automate this process?

    Thank you!

    Hi Miroslav Hynek,

I created route before hand. If you have many orders and you want to use route functionality then you need to define the routes used regularly upfront so that they can be used directly and routes which are new can be added as business moves on.

Its a one time setup. However the bigger deal is to find relevant routes in business and map them in the system.

Once done you are good to take advantage of the system.

    Good day Sagar!

Great information here! Could you please advise if you had to use Route Guide as well for this setup?! If yes, what were the settings there?

Thanks in advance and have a great day!

If your problem still persists, we would suggest you look at our plugin solution, Maplytics.

It is a certified software solution on the Microsoft AppSource that integrates seamlessly with all Dynamics 365 modules. Its Auto Scheduling feature helps many businesses like yours to schedule the stops to the customer addresses for days/ weeks in advance. Once the plans are in place, Route Optimization can be used to set the transportation routes between all the points. The traveling reps and their managers would be well aware of all the travel distances, the time taken, the paths to be followed, and the turn-by-turn navigation directions. This can be done for up to 25 travel points.

The installation process of Maplytics is easy, convenient, and quick. For more information or for a free trial, check out our website or write to us at crm@inogic.com.

    Thanks,
    Sam
