Picking list blocking when item inventory is not available for one of the line item.

Hi,

Greetings !

I have 2 items in the sales order. I need to block picking list untill the inventory is available for second item in the warehouse. The first item has required stock in warehouse. The picking lst should be generated, after both the items have required stock. (i.e., 100% fulfillment at order level). Picking list registration page normally block the order since one of the items is not available and cannot be picked. The release to warehouse cannot be done untill 100% fulfillment query is satisfied. But picking list page allows picking activity even though few items are not available in stock. I need to block picking list to proceed further, when all item are not available (picking list at order level fulfillment).

Please let me know how to proceed. Can I enter a query or settings?

Hi Wasim,

As you said that Picking list registration page normally block since one of the items is not available and cannot be picked.So do the page ever be customized?

thanks for your reply. Can we make settings or query changes in picking list page to block or we need to customize the picking list page?

Hi Wasim,

You mention "Picking List" page and Release to Warehouse; are you using Warehouse management processes? If so, you can configure fulfillment policies at the customer level.

Alternatively, if you are using Call Center sales order, you can enfore a 'Ship Complete' on the Sales Header. You will not be able to release SO to warehouse until all lines have sufficient quantities for reservation.
