Duplicates Detected -- Webpage Dialog - permissions

Hello all,

I'm looking to publish some rules which will trigger the Duplicates Detected -- Webpage Dialog upon saving a potential duplicate.

The problem I'm facing is the More Actions dropdown which allows anybody to Deactivate or Delete record. Has anybody found a way to remove this or remove permissions to this dropdown within the Duplicates Detected -- Webpage Dialog?

Many thanks,

Robert

    Hi,

You need to remove write and delete permission on duplicate detection rule from security roles which are not suppose to remove / deactivate duplicate detection rule.

If user has multiple security roles, then make sure this permission is removed from all roles other wise user will still able to see delete / deactivate option if at least one role has this permission.

You will see this entity permission, when open security role under Core Records tab.

    hope this will help..

    Thanks Mahadeo,

That is exactly how we expected it to work but unfortunately users only have one security role and they only have the ‘Read’ permission set for the Duplicate Detection Rule.

We have tested this and they can definitely deactivate the record even though they only have the ‘Read’ access.

    Have you any other suggestions?

    Many thanks,

    Robert
