Change display order for channel navigation hierarchie from UI

Posted on by 215

Hello experts,

does anyone of you know how to change the display order of the category knotes of the channel navigation hierarchy directly in dynamics?

I have found this Microsoft Docs post, which explains how to change it. But I assume it is outdated, as my layout looks different.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/commerce/create-channel-hierarchy

As you can see here the button "display order" is not available.

When I navigate to "show all fields" I can see that the field is available, but I am not able to edit it.

For testing we changed the display order directly in the database, so that we can work with it on our POS system.

But for our go live scenario, we would need a different solution. Of course the best solution would be to change it directly in D365.

Thank you very much in advance!

    Hey,

thank you very much for the hint. I actually already knew how to change it by the first link, but Microsoft was smart enough to disable this feature by default and only mention it at the bottom of the page that you shared that you need to enable it. Furthermore the little hint box did not provide the correct name of the feature so I had to search for a little while but I finally found it, so thank you very much!

For all others: You can enable this feature called: "Enable display order for merchandising entities" in the Features management. It is enabled straight away with the click of the button and works charmingly well as described by Ramune above.

    Thanks for your help!
