currency translation

hi folks

Our US subsidiary company has been translated to CAD dollars using software that allowed you to enter a CAD amount rather than using an exchange rate to calculate the CAD amount.

Now in GP I am using the Currency Translation window to set the CAD equivalent of accounts in the USD sub.  In some accounts there are some large balances where even the 7 digit precision offered up by the window is proving to not be enough to get the exact CAD amount used in the past.

From what I can see I think that there are none, only the USD and the CAD is stored not the rate that got me there.

Which table holds the translated currency amount?

If I change the translated currency amount via query analyzer to the number that I want it to be are there any check links or business logic's that are going to object to the values not quite tying out?

    bringing my question back to front page hoping someone can help.  table import tells me the table is likely Multicurrency Translation Currency.

    Reviewing the resource descriptions I cant find a table with that name in financial or company.

    any help gratefully appreciated.

    I would still love to know the table involved with this but I just realized that you can actually type values into the translation fields of the screen so I don't need to change the values on the back side of sql.

    yes im cheating by suggesting my own answer and then accepting it.

    credit to my dba who has found a table that is not listed in resource descriptions table names.

    GL20001 has the currency translation values on it.

    No wonder I could not find the table its not listed in resource descriptions.

    :(
