Error from on-demand BPF workflow persists on the form

Hi community,

I'm encountering an issue with my business process flow. 

To be precise, when I try to progress my BPF to the next stage and on demand workflow throws me an error.
This is expected behavior.

However when I then try to edit some fields and try to save the record, it throws me the same error. Even though I am not touching the BPF at all.

I can only start saving my record again when I have clicked the refresh page button in my browser or ctrl+F5.

I encounter this problem now with all my record and I didn't have this problem before.

Do you guys know what might be causing this issue?

    Thank you for your reply. I contacted Microsoft and the bug was in their code. The change on the BPF traversed path didn't roll back when the on-demand workflow was triggered. This is why the error persisted. They solved it now.

    Ho,

    By workflow I mean workflow itself and not BPF.

    You can check them in Advanced Settings > Settings > Process Center > Processes.

    It seems that the concepts you mentioned belongs to Business Central.

    I know that a workflow is causing the error and the initial error is correct. It is expected behavior.

    So the information is correct. The issue is not that the workflow prompts an error when I try to progress in the BPF.

    However, it is an issue that when I click "ok" on the error prompt and then IMMEDIATELY on the same form hit the SAVE button, the error pops up again: But at that moment I am not triggering the on demand workflow.

    Hi,

    It seems to be a custom error message from a workflow.

    For example, if a workflow is created targeting at the entity and set a step "Stop workflow with status of Canceled" in it, in the properties, a text message can be set to prompt why the process is canceled.

    So please check the workflows targeting at the entity you're updating currently. Find out if there is an error message something like the above one.

    This is the error I get when I want to progress in the BPF

    I click "OK" and proceed to make changes on my form. 

    When I then click "Save" I get the same error, even though the on demand workflow should only trigger on the BPF stage exit.
