limiting user to their own accounts/leads/contacts

I have added some users that have a license type of basic. Is there a way to limit those users so they can only access records that they have created? I don't want them to have access to any other records.

Hi,

I guess the best way will be to create a security role with user level access to entities for which you want them to restrict to their own records. Once done assign only this role to the users,and any other required role but that role should not have higher access to these entities.

The license type has no impact on the records the users can see or edit. But creating a security role giving only user access to these user will restrict their access.

But note that the logic will actually be to restrict access to records they own. Typically the owner will be the person who created the record but worth being aware of this.
