hi experts,

we are using advanced warehousing and there is a lot of incoming on daily basis. clint what to fix his expense like electric city and transport for specific items every time he creates a PO he doesn't want to put transport and electricity in the item charge he wants that its fixed on the item cart and every last direct cost must be made by adding these charges.

like new unit cost+transpot+electriccity=last direct cost

2+1(fix)+1(fix)=4

how can we do that in business central we are not using FO.

we don't want to use item charge because it's an internal expense.

Regards,

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Bilal,

use the item indirect cost % on the item card when you set the item. this will increase the cost of the item with the % you add. Make sure you populate the overhead applied general journal account number in general posting setup.

    thank you for the answer.

if I want to add these costs differently is there any other method?

and 2nd is we need to customize this last direct cost field so it should add ´% in it because if i am putting any value it does not increase the cost .

I'm not aware of any other method of increasing the cost of an item directly if you are do not want to use Item Charge or Indirect Cost %.  with Indirect Cost % method. the system will post two value entries to the value ledger entries. one for the cost of the item and another for the indirect %.  the System will link both values to the COGS when you sell the item or consume it.  You need to test it.

Hi, What about using Assembly Management?

You can create 3 Items, Item A, Item transpot, and Item electriccity, and these three are assembled into an Item B.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.
